Well, he's almost 4 weeks now and he already looks totally different than he did in week one. He's up to 10 lbs and 22 inches and cuter than ever. However, he hasn't quite figured out that sleeping is fun. He's decided its over-rated and he's going to have none of it!

There is definitely no question about whether or not he is wearing us out.

When he gets mad about the only thing that will calm him down is the sound of running water. He loves it. So here I am laying in the hallway right outside the bathroom while I just ran the shower and he calmed right down and slept there for about 2 hours.

Here we are both having a great time watching college football. As you can see it is one of his favorite things to do.

This was at about 6:30 in the morning when I got up to go to class. He'd been having a rough night and being the amazing little mom she is this was the only way they could both get some sleep.

When he's in the right mood he can have a great time in his bouncer too.

And of course he's so spiritual he already says his own prayers. This one was even about an hour long!

It finally happened. Beckam Cody Jensen is here. He was born Tuesday August 24th at 7:23pm. The fatty came in at 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long. But I'm pretty sure half that weight is in those chubby cheeks. I understand that we are probably just a little bit biased and almost all newborns look more weird than cute, but we think he is awfully stinkin cute!

Here he is about 30 seconds old and they're trying to get him cleaned off and get him some oxygen.

Just a cute little yawn...couldn't leave this one out.

Here is Erin watching him and keeping a very close eye on him. I can say that because about 15 minutes before this was taken she caught me doing the exact same thing on my shift.

This is another one of the blankets Erin made. I'm hoping if this is all he's ever allowed to be wrapped up in it will become his favorite blanket.

This is just as we were getting ready to leave and he did not like his carseat very much.

But a few nice words from mom and he decided he liked it just fine.

We put him in his crib right after we got home and I'm thinking he might already be getting too big....or maybe he'll sleep in here til he's 15. One or the other.

Here is the bedding set we got for this kid. I think it is pretty sweet, especially since the whole thing only cost $5. Gotta love Craigslist.

And here is the new stroller and carseat. All this baby crap is going to get expensive fast!

Here is Erin and Dave & Ash watching birthing videos. Why? I have no idea.

And I had to throw this one in because it was like May 6th or something ridiculous. So sick of Rexburg.

So I woke up Saturday morning just before 7 and looked out our bedroom window to see this:

It's a moose just spending the night literally about 15 yards from the window.

I sat there and watched it for a while and then a dog came running into the field chasing some birds and this calf I had been watching jumped up and just a few yards past it, the cow jumps up. They stared down the dog for a bit until it ran off.

The calf is still so tall that when it decides to cross the fence it doesn't even have to jump, it just steps over it.

At this point I had run out to get in my car and follow them but they turned around and walked right to the car while I was about to start it up.

And here they are just crossing the road. Right after this they hung out in the Cal-Ranch parking lot for a while and about gave one guy a heart attack as he walked out the door. Then they ran down to the river by Albertsons.

I tried to wake up Erin at the beginning of it all to show her how cool this was. She woke up for a whole minute and a half, and then just said, "I'm so glad I could get up at 7:00 on my Saturday to look at that." and fell back asleep. But since at first she tried to argue it was just a horse it's probably not hard to guess that she isn't really as into this stuff as me.

Here's some of the pictures from our trip to pheonix.

This is where we stayed. Our neighbor's parents own it and live here a few months of the year.

We spent almost a whole night at Dave and Busters. My favorite part of the trip.

This was Erin's favorite part of the trip, shopping.

It's the end of the semester and along with finals and all of the other usless junk, that also means intramural championships. Here's the last game and my faithful fans.

Baby updates

I am more proud of this one than any of the others. At least we know its a boy!

This is Erin's little countdown to the due date. When you set it up this way it makes it look SO much longer!

Alright so I guess the big secret is out. We told our families earlier this week and I have been getting some texts and phone calls from extended family so I guess word is getting around so here are the sonogram pictures. I know they all look pretty much the same but trust me, they are TOTALLY different. I think at the time of this appointment the baby was supposed to be the size of a fig or something but this week its up to as big as a lemon. Next appointment is this Thursday so we'll see if I can get some more pictures up after that.

Kelsey's Birthday!

Here is our house all decorated for the Birthday Girl to come over. We even got her a sweet present...that baby in the middle.

Here we are all enjoying dinner, except Dave who looks like he is just enjoying his massive muscles. Erin even had us all wear these awesome party hats all through the night's activities.

This might have been the best cake Erin has ever made!

And yeah, she got 'em all.

Christmas Party

So, the other night we had a little Christmas party with our NDNFL's Dave and Ash. There is probably no need to go into detail about how outrageously fun it was.

Here we are all excited to open some presents in front of our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.

We got Dave (the best liar I know) Balderdash. I think he liked it. He almost hit his head on the ceiling fan.

We got Ash a movie and then this coupon for a free 20 minute full body massage from Dave but I think Dave was more excited for it than she was.

They got me the whole first season of One Tree Hill. I know how I'll be spending my Christmas break.

And Erin got this super hot Canadian Toque. Dang she looks good!!

Sunday, December 6, 2009

I went ahead and threw my manhood out the window and decided to build up a few brownie points and got us tickets to the David Archuletta concert. The gimmick worked and I definitely got the brownie points, just look at how excited she is.

She isn't this happy when she's coming home to me every day.

Here's David!

A little blurry but it was a really cool light show. Guess you had to be there...

It really was a little scary how much Erin loved it. I think she teared up a little when we had to leave...seriously though.
